Filing

Filing of documents regarding Provincial Court Civil matters are accepted at all Provincial Court Civil counters.

Documents may not be filed by email. Copies of documents may be submitted for upcoming court matters to be printed by the clerk’s office. The clerk’s office has limited capacity to print documents, so any request to print documents must be less than 10 pages and the clerk’s office is not able to print colour records. Any email request to submit records and have them copied should identify the court date in the caption to the email.

Mediations

Mediations are being held as previously scheduled in both Edmonton and Calgary by telephone, Webex or Zoom as directed in the notice of mediation.

Pretrial Conferences and Court Applications

  • All pretrial conferences are proceeding as scheduled.
  • Pretrial conferences and applications will be conducted by telephone or Webex or as directed by the court. Parties are encouraged to attend by Webex, and any party wishing to appear by Webex should contact the office of the clerk of the court at 780 422 2508 (Edmonton) or 403-297-7217 (Calgary) to ensure that appropriate arrangements are made.

Trials

  • All in-person trials between January 4 and January 21, 2022 inclusive will be adjourned. The parties will be contacted by the Court to discuss case management issues, including new dates for the matter to proceed.
