Beginning on March 17, 2023, the Provincial Court of Alberta and the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta are rolling out a new media accreditation policy.
This policy replaces and supersedes the previous Provincial Court of Alberta Media Audio Recording Policy and the Court of King’s Bench Accredited Media Policy. The new policy defines the standards by which media accreditation is granted, the information required from applicants, and the conduct that is expected from accredited journalists.
As of April 30, all previously held media accreditation with Alberta courts will no be longer valid. Application information for the updated accreditation is found at Albertacourts.ca.
